New Hampshire State Board Laser Rules

o RDH can use lasers but must have “appropriate training”. DDS can use lasers.
o Email: “We consider laser as a tool and do not regulate the use of the tools.
o If the person is adequately trained, then it is within the scope of practice for the hygienist to use it.
o The Board does not have any administrative rules or statutes that address the use of lasers.
o We do not regulate the instruments or techniques utilized by the Hygienists as long as the use falls within the scope of Section 317-A:21-c.
